About us

PowerPac has expanded into a promising business field with the construction of motorized wheelbarrows. For many years, the Oberhöchstadt-based company, well-known for its tampers and vibratory plates, has successfully offered its range of dumpers. These transporters are equipped with petrol or electric engines, and either wheel or track drives.

"We have continuously expanded our range of motorized wheelbarrows since then," reports Urbschat. The Multi-Dumper was the first to hit the market: a multifunctional device with options for attaching powered accessories. This was followed by the Mini-Dumper with a low-mounted tipping trough, the Electric Dumper, and for several years now, the range has been complemented by the tracked dumpers.

The demand for a pure transport cart led to the development of the Mini-Dumper. It has a smaller loading volume and is overall built lower. "Expanding our product range with these small, agile transport vehicles has also allowed us to expand our dealer network," explains the managing director. "We remain present in the compaction technology segment with construction machinery dealers. Additionally, the dumpers fit well into the offerings of power equipment dealers."

In terms of pricing, our Mini-Transporters do not target the budget market, emphasizes the PowerPac managing director. "We place great emphasis on offering reasonable quality at acceptable prices. Our products are known for their durability and robustness. In addition, we provide comprehensive customer service that includes tailored solutions for our clients' needs."

PowerPac collaborates with various suppliers who deliver parts according to precise specifications for their transporters to Kronberg. The entire engineering process takes place in Germany, including the development and extensive testing of new products. Tests are conducted under real-world conditions and in demanding construction site environments.

The final assembly of the dumpers occurs in Kronberg-Oberhöchstadt. Due to the continued increase in demand, management is considering expanding production and potentially outsourcing assembly tasks externally.

Our story

Since 1991, PowerPac has been active in the German construction machinery market with its tampers and vibratory plates, specializing in mechanical soil and concrete compaction. The founder and managing director of the company based in Kronberg am Taunus is Lothar Urbschat.

"PowerPac stands for expertise in compaction technology," emphasizes the company founder. "From design to sales, we have professionals with extensive know-how working for professionals. Market-oriented advancements, without forgetting what has proven effective, are integral to our philosophy."

In 2001, the idea to simplify transport with wheelbarrows was born during a private construction project; a motorized wheelbarrow was needed. The company immediately applied for utility model protection for these machines.

"Since then, we have continuously expanded our range of motorized wheelbarrows," reports Urbschat. The Multi-Dumper was the first to enter the market: a multifunctional device with options for attaching powered accessories. This was followed by the Mini-Dumper with a low-mounted tipping trough, the Electric Dumper, and for several years now, the range has been complemented by tracked dumpers.
